The drug world is stronger than the real world. Why not try to legalize marijuana what will it hurt? What’s so bad? About it if the use it for medicine? About 734,000 people in 2000 got arrested for marijuana related charges. If we spent that money that on trying to feed the homeless or donating money to foundations or orphan homes but we spend it on trying to catch people just crossing an imaginary line with a bunch of plants its not them who you want its the people that kill people who you want or even the pedophiles the ones who launder money but not them. As people say marijuana is the "Gateway drug" but nothing about marijuana makes you want to try other drugs except the persons opinions . When people say that smoking marijuana causes brain damage, genetic damage, or damage the immune system but the truth is it doesn’t cause it by any means.
Reasons for why we should legalize marijuana. A lot of people say that smoking marijuana impairs your judgment but what does that really mean most marijuana users say when marijuana is smoked it finds relaxation and inner Zen. It doesn’t make you do stupid decisions like going to rob a store or killing a person. The government tries to find reason to make marijuana illegal and one reason they found is that marijuana is a “gateway drug” but no chemical in marijuana makes you crave more drugs. It all depends on your views of other drugs most marijuana users usually turn to hallucinogenic drugs but not heroin or crack and even hallucinogenic drugs aren’t addicting like more dangerous drugs. The stereotypical marijuana smoker is the one that wears tie-dyed t-shirts, very slow and long hair. But that’s not true because they’re people who smoke marijuana that own multimillion-dollar company’s athletes and actors and actresses.
Marijuana should be legalized for many reasons. In a couple states in the USA have medicinal marijuana for chemotherapy, Alzheimer’s, turret’s syndrome and many more. Why would 12 states out of the U.S agree that medical marijuana is right but why does the other 38 not agree. Why would marijuana be illegal when cigarettes and alcohol kill more people than marijuana when marijuana killed 0.
Marijuana is less harmless then cigarette they have no cancer causing chemicals comparing to a cancer filled cigarettes. But one down on marijuana is that they have more tar then cigarettes. The lethal dose is impossible to reach you need to inhale fourteen thousand time more marijuana you need to get intoxicated and that’s not possible.
These are a few reasons why I think it should be legal but people may go against my reasoning but that’s fine because the government tried to use prohibition against alcohol and they’re trying to do it with marijuana because they failed once and the will fail once again.
